In the rule “Food Trucks”, add a subrule called “Referrals” with the following text:
Each Truck has a publicly-tracked Referral, which is either empty or the name of a Truck other than themselves, and defaults to empty. If between two Trucks, each of those Trucks has the name of the other Truck as their Referral, those two Trucks are considered Business Partners with each other.
As a Virtual Prep action, an Open Truck may set their Referral to any legal value.
In the rule “The Night”, add the following step after “Queue up: For each Open Truck (in decreasing order of Pitch), perform one Sale.”:
* Attract Referrals: For each Truck that is a Business Partner with another Truck, once this Night action perform an additional Sale for that Truck, after which that Truck pays 25% (rounded down) of any Dollars gained by that Truck from that Sale to that Truck’s Business Partner.
I didn’t want to propose full-fledged Alliances this late in the game, but I figured that the Trucks that haven’t been able to hit the minimum requirements for Performance ranks might be more engaged in the dynasty if they have some extra incentive to continue playing, either cooperating with one of the top Trucks to play Kingmaker or to team up with a fellow 0-Performance Truck to try to make some headway.
I deliberately didn’t use the Day Clauses because after the Sunday Night happens, it’s unlikely that Referrals will make much of a difference. I’m thinking that, if this passes, it will happens soon enough before all the Menus are in that players will have time to take advantage of it before this current Prep Phase is over. We’re averaging 4 real-time days for every Trading Day recently.
Lawnomos: he/him
Sounds a bit vaguely worded.
