To the list of Threats, add:-
* This room is Daunting. (+5)
In “Richardo’s Journey”, replace “When randomly selecting a room for this step, Richardo may only select the Room which was his immediate previous location if it is the only option in the set of rooms he is randomly choosing from.” with:-
When randomly selecting a room for this step, Richardo may only select a Room which is Daunting and/or was his immediate previous location if it is the only option in the set of rooms he is randomly choosing from.
And before “He retreats; reset all of his gamestate variables to null values.”, add two bullets at the same level as it:-
* Remove the “This room is Daunting.” Feature from all rooms that Richardo entered during this Enter the Crypt action
* If Richardo’s current room contains a Threat or Denizen, add the “This room is Daunting.” Threat to it.
A belated reboot of Josh’s Decisions, Decisions: when Richardo fails in an exploration while facing a threat, he vows to avoid that room in future, unless he has no choice. (And if he passes through it on a later run and survives, he stops being scared of it.)
I like the idea behind this, but there’s a gamebreaking bug: if the only two options for a move are the previous location and a Daunting room, the entire atomic action fails because there are no legally selectable options (neither is the “only option”, so neither is legal).

I like this.
Why is Daunting priced at +5? If a VL elects to place it in a new room then it only lasts one run, so for that it would feel overpriced; I assume it’s to deter casual use of it in temporary ways?
