In “Breaking Even”, replace “If an Imagineer would move their Debt toward 0 by a value greater than the current absolute value of their Debt, instead, their Debt is set to 0.” with:-

If an Imagineer would move their Debt toward 0 by a value greater than the current absolute value of their Debt, instead, their Debt is set to 0 and their Budget is increased by the amount which the movement exceeded that absolute value.

Keeping the change if you overpay a Debt.

for thought this already happened for some reason.

I went into somewhat sizable debt because the rules were quite literally that you had to spend money to make money.

@clucky I don’t understand how this affects that?

Without this in place, anyone who wants to process business days and actually get income in return has to go into debt like I did.

With this in place, you can avoid debt and just take 320 in profits.

Hmmm. I’ve thought about this, but as Clucky points out, the system was originally set up to provide Budget only from a single source and make Debt the only elastic income. What if I added a follow-up to say that unused Budget would be set to 0 each time you start processing a Business Day? That allows for small overage recoveries like this but doesn’t let them stick around.

I think it is kinda silly that when makeing money is the only real thing to do, I can’t keep what I’ve made. Also, clucky, you can’t really complain that a rules change screws you over when you already took advantage of a rule change in the cost to use an IP license to get where you are and no one else can do it now. Also, in a game where changing the rules is part of the game, deciding weather it is better to wait and see what happens or take advantage early is part of the game.

We can (at least under the current ruleset) keep Buildings and Smiles forever. Excess budget can easily be converted into either.
