Proposal: Client-Based Application

In the rule named “Clients”, after the list of Clients, add the following:

Additionally, every Attorney who has Set Up Shop is a Client with class ‘Adult’.

In the rule named “Cases”, change “Randomly select a Client as its Plaintiff” to “Randomly select a Client (other than an Attorney) as its Plaintiff” and change “Randomly select a Client (excluding the Plaintiff and all States) as its Defendant” to “Randomly select a Client (excluding the Plaintiff, all Attorneys, and all States) as its Defendant.” Also in the rule named “Cases”, change every instance of “Money” to “Worth”.

Rewrite the rule named “Attorney Stats” to the following:

Each Attorney has a Worth (being a dollar value, defaulting to $0) and a Reputation (being Impeccable, Respected, Decent, Suspicious, Corrupt or Unknown and defaulting to Unknown).

If they have not already done so this dynasty, an Attorney may Set Up Shop by setting their Reputation to any value other than Unknown, and then setting their Worth to $12,000 minus ($2,000 times their Villainy).

If a Lawyer has never Set Up Shop, they may not take dynastic actions outside of this rule.

Then, if the proposal named “Slush Puppy” (specifically, this one), passed, re-apply its effect as if it were enacted again.

If any Attorney Set Up Shop before this proposal passed, revert it (so that they are no longer considered to have Set Up Shop during this dynasty).

Combining Worth and Money, and replacing Integrity with Reputation, so that Attorneys also qualify as Clients. Note that we can’t (yet) be involved in any Cases as Clients, but we can represent each other.

imperial Neat in some respects, a bit clunky in others - I think we’d end up having to write “a Client (other than an Attorney)” a lot. I’m not sure how much gameplay this really sets up.

Good idea, but clunky implementation

imperial I’d really like to see this implemented, but does anyone else have a better idea of how?
