Proposal: Coach on the Field

Add the following text to the end of the rule “The Players’ Equipment”:

The Coach may also have a position, which he may change at any time by assigning himself a shirt number that is 100 plus a number a player might have for that position.  The Coach may also change his shirt number to 0 in order to cease to have a position.

During practice sessions, the Coach should be able to take a hands-on approach.

Why should there be a coach that can’t do anything on the field? The coach could do literally nothing on the field.

The coach can’t do anything on the field right now.  If we want the coach to be able to do things on the field, we first need to allow the coach to be on the field in the first place.
