If it appears in the ruleset, replace
Whenever a Player completes a Combo they should then immediately carry out its effect; if any Player notices that another Player has not completed the effect of one of their Combos then they may complete it for them. A single Move may complete multiple Combos; in which case the effects of all such Combos take place, in the order of the choosing of the Player who is carrying them out, regardless of whether any of those effects cause any of the other Combos to cease to exist. However, carrying out the effect of a Combo does not itself constitute a Move and cannot, unless otherwise stated, trigger further Combos.

A player may choose not to carry out the effect of a combo they completed. A player may choose to split applying the effects for the combo(s) they completed up over multiple wiki edits, though if another player (which may be the original player) makes a move before all of the original player’s effects have been applied for the original move, the original player may not apply any more effects from combos they completed for that move.
Trying to fix some of the problems with how combo completion would work under josh’s proposal

Does “regardless of whether any of those effects cause any of the other Combos to cease to exist” potentially allow me to carry out a Combo effect infinity times?
