Proposal: Discovery Chanel

S-K. Ewwwwww, failed proposals are still strenous activities. -Elias IX

Add the following rule call “Discovery” as a subrule of 2.2

Often, a student may attempt to discover a new planet by making a comment of “Discovery 2DICE100”. If both dice results are less than the students mythos level, the student has discovered a new planet. E must then make a post boasting about eir discovery on the blog. The post must contain the planet’s name, if the planet is Personal, Transpersonal or Generational and the Planet’s sign. If any planet has two or more signs which is is regent to, then the discovering student must choose one of those signs to assign to the new planet. If there is no planet which is regent to two or more signs, then the discovering student may choose any sign for the new planet to be regent to.

If rule 2.6 Thirst is in affect, add the following to the above rule.

This action is considered a Strenuous activity

Would prefer ‘occasionally’ but making new planets sounds like good fun

I wonder how high people’s mythos levels are going to get?  My instinct is to have “often” for now, but keep an eye on it.

Unfortunately, 2DICE100 sums the two dice rolls, so you only get one result, ranging from 2 to 200.

Oh ok. I didn’t know how that worked. I guess you could change it to “2DICE100” and have the result be below mythos * 2; or role two separate dice. Either way, this should probably be re-written.

Yes it should.
And Tommy, mythos is between 0 and 20 inclusive.

Oh right.  Should have known that.  And about the dice thing.  Feel a bit stupid.

Clucky! As a heavy math user, you definitely know that the odds of rolling a 2DICE100 and having the result below (mythos*2) is not the same from rolling a DICE100 DICE100 and having both results below mythos.

I did shed a tear (not full out cry) when I saw your post that was two and one on top of this post.

Yeah, change it so its rolling two SEPERATE dice, then we can talk.  against

Not sure if it matters if the against is on top, but just in case…

As long as the vote is somewhere in the comment, it’s good.  against

I know its very different Elias. I never claimed they were the same. I just offered two different ways it could be fixed.

against Btw, I can’t write a fix until someone kills this one. Unless someone else wants to write a fix.
