Add a new rule titled “Hunger”:

Each Villager has a time that they last ate, tracked in the GNDT and referred to as “Last Meal”. If the current time is 120 hours after a villager’s Last Meal, they gain the symptom Death.

When a villager is the Taker of Mandrake, Nightshade, Red Cap, Silver Bark or Wolfsbane, or a combination remedy containing one of these ingredients, their Last Meal becomes the current time.

A villager whose location is the Road may update their Last Meal to the current time at any time.

In “Remedies”, change

by making a blog post (which may not be edited) announcing this.

Set each villager’s Last Meal in the GNDT to Feb. 8, 12:00 UTC.

The baker and butcher are both dead. Farmers outside of the town are stopped at the gates, although those that haven’t heard the news show up every once in a while, offering raw grain and the occasional chicken to others locked out. Supplies within the gates are running low, and the remaining survivors have no choice but to turn to scavenging in the Forest.

Great piece of theme. Possibly a bit too much unnecessary tracking - if it’s all about who ate what in the past five days, we can already see that with timestamps on the front page of the blog.

imperial Doctor Deferential to leave this up to the players with a stake in the game.

I’m amenable to lightening the tracking if it gets egregious. Bookkeeping in the GNDT means only one person needs to track each meal vs. each interested party having to go through scrollback as necessary.

[pokes] True, but there will some very interested parties watching to see who starves. In practice there are only three players to keep an eye on.

It’s also generally a good idea to avoid automatic “they gain the symptom Death” effects, as it can be a mess to clean things up afterwards if nobody notices them changing.

And I think that’s Quorum. We’ll see if it gets replaced by the proposal above.

Can only Admins add new columns and players to the GNDT?

[Derrick] In practice, yes, as only admins get told the GNDT admin password (and under the current ruleset, columns and players can only ever appear as a result of an admin action).

And yes, that’s quorum - we just need to wait for the older proposals in the queue to get processed first.
