Ah, this just seems to be some odd autoformatting aspect of Expression Engine, I hadn’t tested it before proposing we use the <font> tag (which I only picked because it seemed simplest for players unfamiliar with HTML).

<span >white</span> seems to work fine, if anyone wants to propose using that instead.
