Proposal: Merchants
Self-killed (shortly before ayesdeeef was idled by Kevan). Failed by Brendan.

Create a new Workplace, Shop, X,Y (Merchant), (where X is a non-Human, non-Plague thing called that Merchant’s “wares” and Y is a non-Human, non-Plague thing called that Merchant’s “goal”) and add it to the list of Workplaces in the Ruleset with the following text:-
If there is a Merchant, then each Merchant with Workplace “Shop, X” and two of X in their Home (where X is that merchant’s wares) removes 2 of X from their Home and and adds that Merchant’s goal to their Home.
In the Rule Workplaces, replace the text “If every Townsperson has a Workplace” with:-
If a Super Quorum of Townspersons have Workplaces
Making this a Workplace and trying to bring back our DoO’s so it can have some effect.

Excluding three random players from having a Workplace each Season doesn’t seem very fair.
Also unclear on where all the “where X is a non-Human, non-Plague thing called” text is going - in the name of the Workplace? Would be easier as an action that the player could take when they adopted the Workplace.
Ely:
If you’re concerned that seasons will be too long, you can reduce slightly the timeout before other townspeople can force a workplace onto someone. Or let people choose workplace before their turn (when they’re forced to choose).

This is unfair to the people not doing the action due to randomness and not inactivity.

What? I thought this was discussed earlier - isn’t any number or Townspersons larger than Super Quorum still Super Quorum? Otherwise votes couldn’t be passed ahead of time with more than Super Quorum…
I was under the impression that that’s kind of the meaning of Quorum when used colloquially.

But when a Super Quorum of people get Workplaces, a DoO will be called before the remaining people have a chance to give themselves Workplaces.
