Self-killed. Failed by Brendan.

Reword the rule “Unlife” as follows:

If a Vampire Lord’s Puissance is 0, then that Vampire Lord is Dust. While a Vampire Lord is Dust, they may not spend Puissance, their Puissance is 0, and their Puissance cannot be raised above 0 except by means defined in this rule. If a Vampire Lord is not Dust, then that Vampire Lord is Revenant.

If a Vampire Lord’s Puissance is above 10, then that Vampire Lord is Bloodthirsty. While a Vampire Lord is Bloodthirsty, they may not Explore Rooms or Engrave Sigils.

If a given Vampire Lord is Dust, any other Vampire Lord who is Revenant but not Bloodthirsty may, as a Power Action that is also a Daily Action with a cost of 1, raise the Puissance of that Dust Vampire Lord to 1 and gain a Favour with that Dust Vampire Lord as its lender.

If a given Vampire Lord is Dust, any other Vampire Lord who is Bloodthirsty may, as a Power Action that is also a Daily Action with a cost of 2, raise the Puissance of that Dust Vampire Lord to 3 and gain a Favour with that Dust Vampire Lord as its lender.

still not a fan of the “If you get eliminated, anyone can make you owe them a favor” mechanic.

I’m fine with favors being an optional thing, where if other players want to do things that give each other favors and then maybe have a leg up in the next dynasty they can do that. But some people might not want to owe favors, and with this they wouldn’t really have control over that.

Idea is good if we manage to make it opt in

To me, the idea of a Vampire Lord resurrecting a rival, only to give them a sharp-fanged grin and growl “now you owe me,” is very much on theme for this specific dynasty.

Again: I’m in favour of a quick, free-wheeling favour market in this dynasty, so having them picked up and put down lightly and transactionally feels fine to me.

It doesn’t matter that its on brand for the dynasty. The issue is that favors effect future dynasties.

If you don’t want to have to owe people favors, you have to either not play this dynasty, or skip the next one.

against On theme for this specific dynasty, sure, but growling “now you owe me nothing, but this will help a certain Belgian truck driver in the next dynasty”, less so. And it definitely shouldn’t be fastest-raiser-first.
