In Rule 2.6 (Lights), add after “on a 4, that Guest heard the noise.”:-
Detectives always hear any noise that occurs in the room they occupy.
To Rule 2.10.1 (Seals), add:-
If a Detective becomes Dead or Wounded as a result of a Dark Action taken by a Murderer, that Murderer shall be privately told that their victim was a Detective, and may seal letters with a Detective Seal for the remainder of the game.
Giving the Detectives an ability, and a possible vulnerability.

This is fine and all but the game is still a big version of Mafia; in that the bad guys can do something the good guys can do something, but the common citizen is only allowed to accuse someone of being a bad guy, DIE, and shuffle around. Yes we have some role specific abilities, but if we are ever to get a VC it will most likely be very reliant on the whims of the Murders and the detectives. They could kill or incarcerate all of us (Yes only 4 arrested) but we remain almost entirely at their mercy, and if the VC has to do with the relation numbers, we have no chance of changing that. yet.
I am against this proposal
if only because they have enough power. The specials don’t need any more abilities, the normals do.

And also per tecslicer.

This is probably weakening them as much as giving them advantages, but if you’re seeing it as them-and-us rather than them-helping-us, that’s fair enough.

Only one person can win at the end of the dynasty, so BlogNomic’s always a battle royale on some level, even when there are teams. Agreed with Tecslicer that the commons need something to do.

Actually, rereading this, it seems like a fair and balanced change. I’d also like to see more abilities for normal players, but CoV to
