Proposal: Quality Matters Too

If the Proposal “Virtual Victories” didn’t pass, this proposal does nothing.

Add a new rule to the ruleset, called “Innovations Wanted” with the text

If a Student thinks that a Proposal suggests interesing fresh ideas that make for fun gameplay, they may include an http://blognomic.com/images/vote/arrow.gif in EVC to that Proposal. Students may not include http://blognomic.com/images/vote/arrow.gif in EVCs to their own Proposals.

When a Proposal is enacted, if more than a half of its EVCs contain an http://blognomic.com/images/vote/arrow.gif , the author of that Proposal Scores.

Encourage not only quantity of proposals, but their quality too.

My arrow will go to the author of alternative to achievments mechanic :)

imperial Could lead to a slightly unsustainable Achievement inflation, especially when combined with a potential reward for Most Proposals. I think at this stage it would be better to come up with Achievement rewards for dynastic mechanics rather than meta-play.

for I actually think it won’t happen much at all, but I like the idea.

imperial personally think achievements should be harder to get, but willing to defer to bucky on that

for I’m sorry, doesn’t Bucky’s first proposal say you can only use each rule to score once? So there’s only one flavor point available for each player ever. That should prevent inflation.

Yes, you’re right.  for

against This could turn into a group of people agreeing to ‘up arrow’ each others’ proposals whilst denying arrows to the minority not in the group. Thus, a slight majority may drastically increase its chances of taking the Dynasty my eliminating a large minority from contention.

Ragnar Danneskjöld:

On the other hand, a slight majority can take eliminate a large minority from contention at any point during the game, so this rule would do little to further enable a majority.
