Proposal: Running With Scissors

In Rule 2.6 (Lights), replace “he may process the oldest of these Lists.” with:-

he may select one of these Lists at random and process it. The Executor may not process a Dark List within twelve hours of the Lights going out.

Remove “The phone rings” bullet point from Rule 2.9 (Incidents).

A couple of changes to remove the advantage that players get for checking the blog within a few minutes of the Executor posting to it. This guarantees that the lights will stay out for at least twelve hours, and that anyone who submits a Dark List in that time stands an equal chance of getting theirs processed first. It also removes the other quickest-response-gets-it mechanic, the telephone.

I’m for removing the phone calls, but not for the random choosing dark list actions.

@Cloj: It’s just that without the randomization, people who try to do other stuff than constantly checking if the lights are off are penalized (IMO).
