I find it surprising that so many people are casting votes of “I don’t care, I’ll go with the majority on this one” on gameplay proposals in a very factional dynasty. Is this intentional, or are some players misunderstanding the consequences of a DEF vote?

I like the interaction too, because I feel like there should be a strong sway to either FOR or AGAINST to get Proposals done sooner, and DEFs are voluntary anyways.

Well it’s that or the proposal fizzles because it does nothing.

If there’s a problem here, it’s that players are casting votes of “majority should decide” when they don’t mean it. That’s something that can be fixed by talking to those players, if it needs fixing at all. If they mean it, we may as well play on.

although i think this proposal would be fine if it introduced a vote of Majority for players to use in cases where they are unconcerned with the outcome, since that would make it clearer their intentions.
