In the Rule entitled “The End”, change the text:

the Protagonist dies and a new metadynasty begins.  If the Protagonist has not died

with:

the Protagonist dies. 
If the Protagonist does not die

Add the following paragraph to the Rule entitled “The End” by inserting it right before the last paragraph in that Rule:

If the Protagonist dies, the Narrator shall roll DICEX in the GNDT, where X is the number of Characters with a negative Relationship.  Let the result of the DICE roll be n.  This roll will pick a Character, determined by iterating downwards through the Name column of the GNDT, starting with the top character and skipping any character with a Relationship that is not negative, for a number of steps equal to the result of the DICE roll minus one (A roll of ‘1’ corresponds to the top unskipped character in the GNDT, with 0 iterations performed).  The Narrator shall then publish the chosen Character’s name in a Story Post.  That Character achieves victory.
