Add a new rule called Similarity:
There is a Similarity amount that begins at 100. When similarity becomes 0 or lower, the following effects occur:
* A portal is created.
* This rule is removed.
When a Divergent Action is taken, Similarity decreases by 5.
This does feel a bit backwards, though: we don’t know how to take Divergent Actions yet, so this is just adding a constraint on what Divergent Actions can become.
It’s fine, it’s just a bit of a paradox that Divergent actions are about things happening between Universes, but this rule wants them to happen before we open another universe. But we’ll get there.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
