Increase by 2 the Provisions of each Demiurge who has never increased their Provisions by way of a Dynastic Action while their Location was Waterlogged Shops.
“I was awake and you weren’t so I get points, nyah nyah” does not seem like an ideal way to start a dynasty.
I didn’t say it was completely unfair. I said it was not ideal.
In retrospect, I should have started everyone at full provisions so there wasn’t as immediate a rush.
Not sure how I feel about the suggestion that if the only action available to players is unfair, there’s no point performing it and it’s better for the game of BlogNomic if they instead do nothing.
Also this doesn’t address the other “if awake, get points” mechanic of the Woods, which rewards early movers (SingularByte visited it immediately as enacting admin, Jumble was awake enough to visit at 1am UTC today, any further visitors are facing bad odds).
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
