I believe that Snap 013 meets the Upgrade Benchmark “A Snap which meets every Public Criteria”

It meets “A Snap which meets every Public Criteria” because:

* The Shot was taken in an outside location.
* The flower in the shot has its own Wikipedia page: Iberis Sempervirens
* I’m wearing a glove in the shot
* The message to the viewer in the shot is “Kevan will probably win”

Oooh, I’m not sure how I feel about the plant species name qualifying as a ‘specific named entity’ - I feel like the plant in question would need its own page for that criteria to be met…

Oh, interesting. Maybe that was the intent of the rule, but as written, I don’t see that it requires “a unique instance”, just “a specific named entity”

In what way is is a “specific… entity” if it is being defined by its category?

I’ll just point out Kevan’s usage of the Wikipedia entry for the squirrel in his Upgrade Request, though to be fair he put forth the park he took the shot in as well, and asked us to take it on his word.

Ugh, flubbed the link of course

True. I’m fairly sure I know which park it is, and it does have it’s own Wikipedia entry, but part of the purpose of my initial comment on both that one and this one was too see how hard we’re playing this dynasty - are people looking for reasons to deny each other upgrades, or are we politely waving them through unless they’re flagrantly unacceptable?

Indeed. I’ve made my case, so I think at this point I’ll leave it up to the voters to decide how to treat these Upgrade Requests.

against Think I’m leaning towards interpreting “entity” as a standalone instance, here, and imagine I would have done for the squirrel in #12 if pushed (I only raised it as a potential backup in case I wasn’t online enough to prove which park I was in, to those who requested proof). The two plants within the frame of the photo are two specific entities, and neither has its “own” Wikipedia page.

If Kevan posting a zoomed in photo of a park counts as an “specific entity”... isn’t a zoomed in photo of London also a “specific entity”? Or a zoomed in photo of Earth? At what point does the zooming become okay?

I think Kevan scored points because of the squirrel, which means JD should get points for the flower

I think Clucky raises reasonable points about Kevan’s claim, but those should probably have been raised on Kevan’s claim when we could have done something about it.

I kind of approve of being a bit more mercinary about the development criteria rather than just cranking the handle, so I’mma go against
