Proposal: A Keener Eye

Failed 1 vote to 5, with less than a quorum of Sellers not voting against. Failed by Kevan.

If the Proposal titled “A Keen Eye” failed, this Proposal does nothing. Otherwise, adapt the last sentence of the rule “Evening Classes” to read as follows

After receiving such a message, the Broker should privately respond to the Seller with a list of the eight Rare numbers and four Forgery numbers previously selected for the specified Category.

Let’s keep the same 8 and 4, whoever knows them.

You have to say “if evening classes have already been taken in the specified category ...”(followed by your rule) Also, you need to keep the last sentence from the other rule. Basically, your rule doesn’t say what to do the first time someone takes evening classes in a specific category. against

No wait, it doesn’t specify how the lists should be selected. That means that they won’t exist :(  against

against  because unless I’m misreading something, the numbers are never chosen, as ayesdeeef said.

For those nervous: the Forgeries and Rare items are created under 2.2.1. We don’t want them re-generated for each seller, do we?
My rare #s could be 1357, and King’s could be 2468.

against I don’t see how this would regenerate the Rare and Forgery numbers, but this indeed does not define how the numbers are chosen. I would oppose it anyway; the information game is more interesting if different Sellers receive slightly different information.

against A Keen Eye is intended to generate a random sublist of not-quite-all of a category’s Rare and Forgery numbers, rather than resetting the Rare and Forgery numbers. I think it does that correctly.
