Proposal: Assumptions Render Intentions Ambiguous

Add the following to the end of the rule The Threshold:

If an Endgame Acronym has been posted, and a number of Backronyms equal to at least half of quorum has been posted in response to it, and there are no open Backronyms, then the Acrogenerate action may not be undertaken and, if there is a single Wordsmith with the highest Points, that Wordsmith has achieved Victory.

Wouldn’t this open up a timing race for ties, where the first Wordsmith to claim a Proposalnym could break the tie and claim victory?

Only if people are leaving it very late - the optimal move is to get your proposalnym in early, there’s no late mover advantage.

and; I don’t think it break ties that cleanly; if there is a tie in the people who submitted early and both claimed the proposalnym then it is back to the deadlock.

Oh; this does not attempt to break ties. That’s for a follow-up proposal.

Afraid I’m not seeing a reason for a second victory condition that says not to apply the existing mostly-similar one that happens during Acrogeneration. What am I missing?
