Proposal: Bid Increment

Add to “Recruitment”

The minimum bid increment (MBI) for auctions is 10% of the current highest bid, or $1, whichever is higher. Bids must increment by at least the MBI.

Otherwise the auction minigame kind of devolves into “who is the most active when the auction is about to end” to add that teensy $1 more lol.

Maybe add that a bid that doesn’t increment by the minimum increment is invalid, otherwise the teeth on this are ambiguous.

So if someone makes a bid that doesn’t increment by the right amount it is just invalid?  I’m not sure this actually says that in so many words.

Actually I wonder the same thing as Oracular rufio…
I understand that a bid that doesn’t meet the criteria is NMOT a bid by definition, then..

Yeah, I don’t like the wording.  I am going to fix it.

I propose we fail this and then rewrite.
