How is this CfJ-worthy? A proposal would have been just as effective, surely. Not that I’m supporting spam or anything, I’m wondering whether have the right to trim that down…
Quote rules: “If anybody is suspected of intentionally spamming BlogNomic, then a Proposal may be made to remove any such Soldier from the game, and to bar the perpetrator from rejoining.” This is a CfJ, otherwise I’m for it, ish.
Warn him publicly, then on a repeat offense use our rules.
Killing him in game won’t stop the spamming.
Not the right punishment, why would we kill our own soldiers? Come up with something more creative.
AS I recall, we did. We removed all of his guesses and made it impossible for him to win.
Is there a disagreement about an interpretation of the Ruleset? Does some aspect of the Gamestate need urgent attention? If either one of these things are true, SAY SO in the CfJ post. Otherwise, the spammer is _you_.
The proposal against Zuff actually passed. It was more closely connected to his crime (if you’re going to spam Guesses, then we’ll stop you making any more Guesses) but yes, we do have a rule explicitly saying that spamming could get you kicked out of the game, so anything goes.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
The game has been running since 2003 and resets every month or so. Have a look around the wiki for more information and history. New players are always welcome and can join in the game at any time.
