Proposal: DNR

Repeal all Dynastic Rules and start a new Metadynasty with no Captain. Change the keywords ‘Survivor’ and ‘Captain’ to ‘Player’ and ‘Emperor’, respectively, throughout the Ruleset.

I hate to post two of these in the same Dynasty (or at all), but this is getting ridiculous. There have been no new proposals for six days, there are barely any game actions being taken (and the ones that are are not exactly of the interesting, interactive type) and everyone who shouldn’t already be idle is due to become so tomorrow. I really don’t see the point in waiting the time it’ll take for either death through starvation or victory through power accrual to occur if no one is interested in developing/completing the game mechanics or affecting the outcome.

I had written a longer post here, but in the end, I just don’t think this dynasty is salvageable. I think the lesson we can learn is that cooperative dynasties, or at least this style of them, don’t work. However, I’m still not going to vote FOR this proposal. I think we have a better alternative to a generic metadynasty: namely, an NPC-ruled dynasty. In my mind, we’d even have a theme: the now-infected survivors spreading the alien-spore-disease to other planets. In fact, I’m going to go ahead and propose that, and vote against here, not because I disagree with this proposal’s point, but only because I disagree with its methodology.

That said, I’m still ready to see this dynasty end, even if it does have to be a metadynasty.

Rodney - please do propose that instead - it sounds intriguing.

I’d considered that option, but was hesitant to go for it now while most of the playerbase is/was asleep, and potentially burden the next Dynasty with a mechanic its players never asked for. I’ll happily go with that now, but I’ll keep this open for discussion, or in case others prefer this solution.
