Hmm.

Given the uncertain nature of the tsunami and what is going to happen between then and now, I’m leaning against… Not sure. Open to persuasion.

My understanding of the tsunami is that the reset is there, in part, to give us a chance to consider victory mechanics early on and then all start from the same place in advancing toward them. The habitability scores are interesting, varied, and currently unused, so it seemed like a natural way to derive a leaderboard to me.

Why does “between now and the round-8 reset” seem like it has an unpredictable effect on something that happens in around 15 to you, Josh?

I think my feeling is actually: yes, we’re a bit of time in, but in terms of turns we’re at the end of turn 2, still with lots to fix on the thin rules we have so far, and this solution is only utilising rules we have so far, rather than things that might arise over the next 3-5 rounds - so… I guess I feel like it might be too early?

I think this will be hard to do: you need to be taller, have more foliage, have the largest single level, and have the largest base.

On the other hand, it may play poorly with the new Ararat proposal.

To me that reads as an argument for “adjust the derived stats in Habitability as we get more rules,” which this condition accounts for automatically. “Don’t consider a possible endgame yet because what if our existing thirteen rules and six stats are going to be wiped out by the actual GOOD rules next week” doesn’t really square with my Blognomic experience.
