On the orders of Bruno the Witchfinder, the Guards are dispatched to bring the murderers to justice, both secular and ecclesiatical.

One of the Guards manages to catch brother Elias IX, and a duel with Wands of Death is fought in the Infirmary. Unfortunately for Elias IX, Guard Uno appears to have been wearing an Amulet of Reflection. Elias IX loses consciousness and is sent (rather strangely) back to the Infirmary, and then both combatants are marched off to the Detention Cell for being so ungodly.
