In “Desiderata”, replace “Each Monk has a Desideratum” with “Each Monk (and the Abbot) has a Desideratum”.

Replace “In response, the Abbot should set that Monk’s Desideratum to those Colours.” with:-

In response, the Abbot should either:-
* If another Desideratum exists containing the same three Colours, privately inform the Monk that this Desideratum is unavailable.
* If no single Desideratum exists containing the same three Colours, set that Monk’s Desideratum to those Colours and privately inform then Monk that this has happened.

Add two paragraphs to the rule:-

The Abbot may change their own Desideratum at any time, to a set of three colours which does appear in any single Desideratum.

If any two Monks have the same Desideratum, the Abbot may remove the colours from whichever of those Desiderata was set most recently, and inform that Desideratum’s owner that this has happened. If no two Monks have the same set of colours in their Desiderata, the Abbot may delete this paragraph.

Changing Desiderata from identical sets being invisibly bad, to being rejected at the time of selection. And giving the Abbot a Desideratum as well, so that a clash doesn’t explicitly reveal another player’s choice.

Is it intentional that the Abbot’s Desideratum must be exactly the same as a Monk’s?
