Enact a new subrule of “Nosy Researchers” entitled “Researcher Bias” as follows:
Each AI has a publicly tracked value called Leeway. Leeway defaults to 0.
If the Facility Head would Reinitialize an AI, but that AI has at least 6 Leeway, then instead of Reinitializing the AI, the Facility Head must perform an Atomic Action as follows:
- Set that AI’s Suspicion to the median Suspicion among all other AIs.
- Subtract 6 from that AI’s Leeway.
Replace the sentence in the rule “Reinitialization” that reads “When an AI is Reinitialized, all of their dynastic variables are set to the defaults.” with:
When an AI is Reinitialized, all of their dynastic variables are set to the defaults, except their Leeway, which is instead incremented by 1.

interesting! ill vote for it once the edit window closes. i do like that leeway increases if u get reinitialized a lot. having to be rebooted six times to avoid a seventh does seem like a lot tho, sort of the other side of the scale from its first iteration! any particular reason it’s six :0?
