for BRAVE CHECK MARK!

Pavitra:

10-11-2011 02:13:27 UTC

for Well, that was sooner than I’d hoped.

Hypothetically, could I break this by going idle, thus rendering lazerchik a Free Agent?

omd:

No, because coppro has definitely achieved victory at the time the condition became true, even if the condition becomes false in the future.

southpointingchariot:

10-11-2011 02:18:56 UTC

for Please no agora…

Shadowclaw:

10-11-2011 02:34:31 UTC

for Well, that was fast…

Spitemaster:

10-11-2011 02:36:52 UTC

for

Bucky:

10-11-2011 02:56:27 UTC

for

3-man conspiracy plus mass apathy during the critical 3-day period.  Saw it coming a ways off.

Darknight: he/him

10-11-2011 04:30:24 UTC

for I kinda started zoning on this meta because of the mass amount of proposals and what nots. Hope the next theme is a good one lol.

lazerchik:

10-11-2011 05:43:30 UTC

for

PBURNS:

10-11-2011 06:03:43 UTC

for I joined at the perfect time it would seem, right at the start of a new nomic.

Clucky: he/him

10-11-2011 06:08:44 UTC

for I tried to get you / Chronos / SPC to do something about it Bucky but apparently you guys were too lazy =P

ais523:

for I was wondering why nobody was trying to disrupt the win; for several players, it would have been quite easy (particularly Chronos; if he’d simply bought himself out of spc’s employment, it’d have set us back something like two days and six proposals).

My guess is it’s just the usual apathy where only a tiny fraction of Blognomickers ever actually care about winning / preventing other people from winning.

flurie:

10-11-2011 14:34:48 UTC

for I saw what was going on, but it happened more quickly than I’d expected. It also seems like Chronos went inactive at the least convenient time.

Prince Anduril:

10-11-2011 14:42:50 UTC

Also saw it coming, but wasn’t in a position to disrupt it. I was waiting for some SP from my latest proposal, and that takes time. for

Prince Anduril:

10-11-2011 14:43:52 UTC

Oh, and my 13th vote gives him Victory. Well done. Please not another factions dynasty.

ais523:

10-11-2011 15:08:40 UTC

@Prince Anduril: in pretty much every dynasty, factionalising is to the advantage of the faction members, unless you add no interactions between players at all (and that would involve banning players making rules that affected anyone else). So I don’t think it’s possible to avoid factionalisation entirely. It is, however, possible to reduce the benefits from it somewhat.

Incidentally, pretty much anyone could have blocked this just by getting a couple of proposals passed. I don’t get why people weren’t doing that more in a dynasty where proposals were the main source of income; unlike most dynasties, I kept my slots pretty much fully occupied until I already had enough to go ahead with the game-winning strategy.

Also, this is perhaps the first win I’ve been involved in where, instead of jamming the queue to prevent rules changes interfering, we cleared the queue to get a proposal passed, not because there was anything wrong with the proposal itself but because we needed the SP. (In the past, scams have involved clearing the queue in order to enact a buggy proposal, but that wasn’t the case here.)
