Proposal: No races to report

A feeble attempt to encourage activity that would cause a schism within the Army.  It is important that no individual spend more time policing their fellow Soldiers than they do preparing for the upcoming War.

That is all.

If exactly one rule or subrule contains the text

they can Report it in a story post

then replace that text with the text

they can Report it in a story post as a daily action

Don’t all race to report things at once. You’re burying the secretaries in paperwork.

Note: I accidentally proposed this without setting the categories to “proposal”. That accidental version has been deleted (it was a story post), this is pretty much a repost in the right category. (I noticed after the deadline for changing categories.)

against This doesn’t actually change anything, as each particular breach already can only be reported once; but the change is misleading, since most will assume that it is meant to stop one person from reporting several different breaches at once.  But this interpretation is not accurate:

The amended rule would read “If any Soldier (the Informant) notices another Soldier (the Culprit; this cannot be the General) has breached martial law, they can Report it in a story post as a daily action…”

In other words, noticing that someone has breached martial law, grants the noticer a daily action to report it.  If I notice multiple different breaches (X Y and Z), I am granted a daily action to report for each.  The fact that the action to report X is a daily action does prevent me from reporting Y and/or Z the same day as well.

Should probably be,

“As a daily action, if any Soldier (the Informant) notices another Soldier…”

“does prevent” -> “does not prevent” in my last sentence above.
