Call for Judgment: Peg-Leg Pete

The Player named pokes had an unexpected weekend-long outage that left them unable to access BlogNomic. This led to them claiming some of their pegs for completed Gambles outside of the time limit.

As this kind of thing happens and it’s a one-off my inclination is to wave it through but I feel like that should be properly recorded as the consensus of the players.

So: uphold pokes’ gamestate change recorded in this wiki edit, specifically the claiming of their pegs for their wagers on games 35 and 39.

against game 39 ended ~24 hours ago, so the claim was still legal regardless of what happens here

I feel like if Pokes had enough time to place more bets, he had enough time to collect old bets and this sets a bit of a dangerous precedent when it comes which “do this within a certain time limit” actions we allow and which we reject

[Clucky] I think the issue here was about literal ability to log in on a given device, rather than time available: Pokes had access to the blog (so could place bets) but not the wiki (so could not claim old bets).

Not sure if it’s part of the objection, but I don’t think it poses a problem that the claim for game 39 is legal; upholding it will do nothing but it doesn’t, say, let me do it again.

@Kevan ah okay. I missed that bit. I suppose a for is probably okay?

@pokes I know it doesn’t. was just pointing out that if this were to fail you’d only lose the one bet which isn’t the end of the world.
