Reword the sentence “Each Cycle, the Ministry of Information must carry out the following atomic action:” in the rule “Adherents” as follows:

Each Cycle, the Ministry of Information must carry out the following atomic action, known as Processing:

Directly before the bulleted list item in the rule “Adherents” that begins with “For each point of Buzz…” add the following bulleted list item:

* For each term in the [[List of Ideologies]] wiki page, add x Buzz to each Cell which has that term as part of their Ideology, where x is the number of Cells which have that term as part of their Ideology.

Following a trend should be powerful but dangerous.

i like this, but the gains seem much too big!! maybe +1 buzz per cycle for every cell (or ministry) u have an ideological proximity of 2 with?

does this growth rate not seem game-breaking to y’all? im genuinely curious if im missing something important bc from where im sitting it looks like this could be used by a small group of players to mow up literally all available adherents of a given ideology w/ only a little bit of clever coordination (like, 4 example, the coordination that brendan already used to communicate a point of ideological alignment to multiple other players!)

i know im one of the ppl who would benefit from selfishly passing this proposal but i would feel dirty using this, and i dont think it would be v fun

Depends whether the members of that pool have a way of effectively communicating Ideologies to cohere around, I guess. Do they? My DMs are open :)

I’ll shift to imperial , then, but would like to see this with perhaps a slightly lower buzz reward, or which mandates that Buzz can only be used to capture Citizens whose Ideology matches up with the Ideology of the Cell they’d be adhering to.

Cov again back to for - the dispersal of citizens amongst ideologies isn’t perfect, but it’s still fair to say that, with the changes being made in A Principled Populace, the most that a cabal can capture and share between a complete ideology match is on average six citizens - hardly a big score

By my understanding, you could use this to double your adherents every cycle
