If the proposal “Fnord Focus” has failed, this proposal has no effect.
Replace the sentence that reads “When an Individual Focuses, they must gain one Reality Damage Token.” with
When an Individual Focuses, they must gain one Reality Damage Token and add one Soul Damage Token to every Individual with the Pursuit of Researcher.
[Josh] This was inspired by your comment about Researcher/Collector tension on the CfJ. Collectors can already do Soul Damage to each other, so this is the matching condition for Researchers as an incentive to keep things secured and locked down. (SD doesn’t actually have any negative effects yet, though—it could be more a marker of “time spent as a non-Outsider” than anything.)
Not sure I get the theme, though. We should pin down what Soul damage means.
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
