In rule 1.1 (“Ruleset and Gamestate”), for the first paragraph—

This is the Ruleset for BlogNomic; all Individuals shall obey it. Section One consists of the “core rules” of BlogNomic, covering basic proposal mechanics; Section Two contains the rules of the current Dynasty; Section Three contains rules which apply in special cases; and Section Four contains the appendix, which complements and clarifies the Ruleset.

substitute—

This is the Ruleset for BlogNomic; all Individuals shall obey it.

It comprises four Sections: 1) the “core rules” of BlogNomic, covering the essential elements of gameplay; 2) the rules of the current Dynasty; 3) rules which apply in special cases; and 4) the appendix, which complements and clarifies the Ruleset.

Coming on the heels of this and this proposal, this one splits off the important introductory sentence, updates the description for the Core Rules, avoids the formal-looking but meaningless “Section One” etc. (in favour of numbers parallel to those in the nearby ToC) and cuts a few words in the process.

You can refer to rules as sections. Anyway I’m in favor of anything that makes this first section look more inviting or easier to read.

I mean that we don’t ever call the dynastic ruleset “Section Two”. In any case, “section” seems to be the preferred term for these four parts of the Ruleset, and less so for individual rules (though “section” is included in the definition of rules, confusingly enough).
