Proposal: Evacuation Protocol

Fails 1-3 after more than 48 hours. -Bucky

In the rule “Attack a Civilian Target”, change

where x is a random number between 1 and 100,000, multiplied by that Bogey’s Attack

to

where x is a random number between 1,000 and 25,000, multiplied by that Bogey’s Attack

Right now, a single high-rolling attack can increase the victory requirement by as many as six Crowns. This change on the upper bound limits a single attack to two crowns (plus one from rounding) for a Rakshasha and one for other Bogeys, plus rounding. The change on the lower bound gives us room to deduce a bogey’s maximum Attack from a low-casualty event.

The average attack is 19.3, so the average attack as-is would be 965,010 casualties and the average to-be attack would be 337,750. It’s a big decrease, especially given that civilian attacks can take a little while to wind up (a day and a half or so?).

I dunno, too much of a nerf for me, although I would accept the numbers coming down a bit.

imperial Currently the only thing civilian casualties do is increase the victory requirements I think. So I guess it depends on how fast you want the game to end.

I think, thanks to Acid Blood and an increased tempo, we’re about to see casualties outpace everyone’s total Crown gains rather drastically.

I agree, and don’t have a problem with rebalancing. (The Host comes at this from the other direction: increased Crown yields. We might also want to consider making DEVA actions slower.)
