Proposal: Farm-to-market road

Timed out. 6-9 (2-9-4). ~~Chronos Phaenon

Adminned at 16 Nov 2011 01:46:35 UTC

If the proposal at http://blognomic.com/archive/scouting1/ failed, this proposal has no effect. Add a new subrule to ‘Routes’ entitled ‘Rural’, reading

A Rural Route has a Scouting Cost of 8. When a Driver Drives a Rural Route, that driver earns 5 Cash, but cannot Drive any Route within two days afterward.

imperial  I think 5 is a bit high.

against Massively brokenly powerful compared to other routes. By expanding and compressing weeklies, you can hit five of these between assignment requests and get 25 Cash, which means that I’m utterly baffled by the relatively low scouting cost of 8. I also don’t like the way this encourages timing scams due to tightness within the week.

@coppro: 48 hours is, if anything, too short for this to be balanced. It’d have to be more than 2 weeks divided by 4, or 84 hours. Given that the timing scams would be annoying anyway in that case, it should be avoided entirely.
