Proposal: I Am Become April’s Fool

Enact a new rule called “Ending of the Hours” as follows:

If the Emperor’s Ticks are greater than the total Ticks among all Players other than the Emperor, and the current date is December 12th 2016 or later, then: the Clock Has Struck None, and no further game actions may be taken before April 1st, 2017.

If the current date is April 1st 2017 or later, and the Clock Has Struck None, then the Emperor has achieved victory.

Enact a new rule called “A New Day” as follows:

If the Emperor has 144 or more Ticks, and it is neither true that Time is Up nor that the Clock Has Struck None, the player with the most Ticks achieves victory.

against Wait, what’s going on? Boy it looks like I have some catching up to do.

I unidle, quorum is still five.

I have a vested interest in the game not potentially being unplayable for a few months I could probably play it in.

I’ve got some catching up to do; but it seems, while a neat idea in theory, also kind of dumb in practice?

(And, for that vested interest, I’m sure other people have it too; it seems unfair, to anyone who might return in the interim, assuming it’s a failure, and just not worth the real tension it might bring the very small subset of Nomickers actually playing during?)
