Enact a new rule, “The Astronomer”:-
The Townsperson called Josh is the Astronomer. The Astronomer may use VETO as a voting icon to cast a Vote on a proposal; this has the same effect as the Astrologer having cast a vote of VETO on that proposal.
The Astrologer may repeal this rule at any time.
Upon enactment of this proposal, any EVC on this proposal which includes the name of a single Townsperson shall be considered to Support that Townsperson; if one Townsperson has more Supports than any other, replace “Josh” with their name, in the rule created above. (If multiple Townspeople are tied for the most Supports, the enacting admin shall select one of them at random and replace “Josh” with that Townsperson’s name in the rule created above.)
We can live without DEF votes in a slow dynasty, but we should probably have a functioning veto mechanic while the Astrologer is out of action.
