Getting this in before the stars change. I am a Cultist at the Mountain Camp, am not at Gunpoint, and very strongly suspect that I have a number of Artefacts equal to a quorum of Cultists. I place them into three tapering cracks in the mountain rock, and stare up into the starry void, awaiting judgment.
Well let’s see, 5 cultists from the HR report, so that’s a quorum of 3. So unless one of the new players is a cultist, which makes quorum rise to 4, you have victory.
Each time someone gets their backgrounds it’s a 69.44% chance that they are not a Cultist. Since there’s two people you need to worry about, there’s a 48.22% chance you’ve achieved victory if both new people have backgrounds.
[card] Pretty much. I’m hoping that the chances of new players requesting backgrounds and having been assigned them yet brings that down low enough.
(Deferential votes don’t do anything on DoVs, although it might make sense if they did.)

[Sphinx] To double-check - you’re voting against because at the time I made the DoV, it wasn’t the case that I had “a number of Artefacts equal to a quorum of Cultists”? I was banking on the lack of HR report suggesting that you hadn’t processed the new players since they’d joined.
I think quorum has been reached (if Axemabaro’s didn’t count).
BlogNomic is an online Nomic: a self-modifying game where changing the rules is part of the game. Players make blog posts proposing additions or alterations to the ruleset, discussing and casting votes in the comments: if enough vote in favour, the rules are changed and play continues.
