Proposal: We’re ready to start playing what could be the funnest BlogNomic dynasty in years, and I’m dead.

Self-killed, final vote 3-13. Failed by Darth.

It’s fine for the three of you; you can actually play the game.

against Not fine for any players who die in the future. If you’ve got an idea for a solid mechanic to bring dead players back to life, while still keeping the game fun for everyone, propose it as a permanent rule.

Oh fine.  ‘Dead’ people come back to life all the time in murder-mysteries.

All I’m suggesting is that the dead among us get the chance to actually participate equally for a while.

The game has hardly started; it’s mostly just been prep. My reward for this construction is death, which presumably comes with a huge penalty.

Possible ideas for participation when this proposal fails:

-Flashbacks
-Ghosts

Another in-theme solution would be for players to come back as the suspicious relatives of those who were murdered; they pick a different job, and have their Degree of Relation bumped up by a thousand (meaning that they probably can’t win, unless everyone dies once).

The murderers’ goal would then just be to kill everyone else once, at which point they’d win immediately before an angry mob could form.

Although bringing players back in as full characters does risk dragging the game on. As a player, I’d probably prefer playing two or three short rounds of an elimination-style murder game (which gets progressively faster as players are killed off), over one long round where everyone stayed fully active.

against i would vote for an idea, which would allowed dead people to come back generally. Ghosts would be a nice idea…
